Temperatures where below -30 degrees Celsius yet because there  was no snow fall the surface of the lake was uncovered allowing me to  see and capture the bubbles (gas release from lake bed) that were  trapped in the frozen waters.”

One New Yorker will need more than some hot water and an ice scraper to get going as he wakes to find his car encased in ice. Parked on 2nd street between 1st and 2nd Avenues, the frozen Audi is another victim of the Big Apple’s brush with Arctic conditions.
